Who is Behind Faith and Doubt?

Who is behind FaithandDoubt.com?

I’m Tim Filston, a pastor, communicator, and collaborator.  I’ve spent the last 20+ years speaking, coaching, and eavesdropping.  My time in the ivory and in the trenches has given me the chance to lead and consult with a variety of organizations. For me, life’s interruptions have been the greatest clarifier of what matters most.  As a result, I love to help people make sense of their own lives and priorities.

We need to stay teachable all life long. But when someone makes it to adulthood without drawing at least a few conclusions, we don’t call it open-minded.  We call it something far less admirable. The function of an open mind is to chomp down on something of substance–something nourishing to the human spirit. Blaise Pascal said that “The heart has its reasons of which reason knows nothing.” So an ancient invitation still stands today, and I offer it again to you: “Come, let us reason together.”
